I am Meat Girl/Saliviscera. I've been taking DIY HRT for my entire transition which at the time of writing this page has been 3 years. I've taken Pills, Gels, Patches and Injections, I now make my own injectables after learning how in an attempt to help my local community. From conversations I've been asked many questions regarding the creation of DIY injectables which really show that there's an air of mystery regarding the process. I worry this is preventing people from taking control of their life into their own hands.
I'm writing this because trans healthcare is not where it should be, and I want those who require it and have no other option to know that there are alternative methods, if nobody will provide the life saving healthcare you need, you're going to have to provide it for yourself. Which in this section I will explain in detail why it's not that scary or complicated.
With something as important as creating your own injectable HRT, you're going to need some equipment beforehand. I will list the items you definitely need and suggest some other tools that can make the process easier for yourself. They will be accented with an asterisk.
Getting your hands on the equipment is simple, but for our actual ingredients it's a little more tedious. I personally order mine from DragonOrdinance but if you're in the United States you can source from other verified providers such as PurplePandaLabs. These stores typically have alternative payment methods such as cryptocurrency, which hopefully if you've purchased DIY HRT in the past you'll be aquainted with, however if not you can use services such as Wise in order to pay for your order.
If you already know the method and just want the recipe:
On a flat surface place a piece of paper and on that place your scales and create a cover with aluminium foil. With something like a knife tip take your Enanthate powder and slowly add until the scale displays between 0.501 - 0.503, if you have too much use the knife tip to return the powder to the bag, don't worry about any that falls off the scales, that's what the paper is for.
Once measured, funnel your Enanthate powder into an open vial, this is where you can add your 0.2ml of Benzyl Alcohol. Measure 7.5ml of MCT Oil and add to your vial. Once your ingredients are all in the vial, crimp the lid of your vial in around 8-10 spots. When sealed you should shake your vial for 1 minute. (Your arm will get tired) and make sure that the ingredients have mixed and your enanthate powder has dissolved.
To test if there are no impurities/your enanthate powder isn't contaminated, leave your vial in a cool dark place for 24 hours and check to see the powder has fully dissolved, if you have done this and it has, or have already confirmed your powder is in good condition, you can move onto sterilisation.
DON'T WORRY IF THE POWDER HASN'T FULLY DISSOLVED, THIS WILL HAPPEN DURING STERILISATION!!
Place your vial upright in a pressure cooker, fill with water up to just below where the cap starts. Heat on high pressure for 2 hours and leave in a cool dry place for over 24 hours to let cool down fully.
If you don't own a pressure/multicooker, you can simply use a stovetop. Place your vial in the pot and fill with water just like the pressure cooker method, AFTER filling with water you can start heating until the water is boiling. Boil for 30 minutes. After that time turn the heat off and wait for the water to cool off, you can then take out your vial, wipe it off and continue to storage.
